Rapper Skipp Coon is how Strongarm got his name and his family is how he got his start. He was inspired to music in the 5th grade after watching his grandfather, a tenor of gospel quartet The 7 Stars; and his father the lead guitarist/songwriter of the 70’s-80’s R&B/Funk band Freedom.
Alongside his solo work, Strongarm is Co-Founder of MercMusic, a rap group centered in Jackson, MS which included Dono Vegas and Renee Lee. Their mixtape can be found at soundcloud.com/mercmusic-1.
Since moving to Dallas, TX, Strongarm has created a buzz by crafting tracks that caught the attention of artists. He strives to get artists to put forth their best efforts on tracks and feed the public with timeless music and innovative soundscapes. Strongarm is working with Mike Jones and Yung Duece to promote The Money Train Movement.
