On September 19 Dolla Black dropped his long awaited album “Let Me Work”. That same day he was a featured performer as part of the Mississippi Greek Weekend event at Fondren Park.

I discovered Dolla Black’s music because I saw him featured in a dope Kamikaze hosted Cypher Video featuring other rising artists such as J. Skyy, Silas, Slimm Pusha, and others. His flow caught my attention and I instantly reached to him to see if he had more music.

I heard him again on “The JUnited Greats” mixtape presented by DJ Maybach X and Hollywood Luck. His addition to the tape was the excellent “F.A.N”, again I was impressed with his flow and saw even more potential.

Not long after I saw Dolla Black begin promoting a new project called “Let Me Work”. Ever since then I’ve been anticipating the release of this album so I could see he was able to put out a project that expressed his full potential.

From the opening track “Let Me Be Great”, I knew that Dolla had stepped up to the plate and was ready to swing for the fences. Every track was a home run in my opinion “1000 Watts”, “The Process”, “Arguements”, and “On Me” are standout tracks. Dolla Black rose to the level I knew he could and delivered an excellent body of music. A very well executed and sure to be very well received project. This def gets The Hood Hippie Stamp of Approval.
