Josias is an extremely talented young artist. I was first introduced to him via his work with LV Baby and the collective band We Were Here. His ability to deftly switch between piano, drums, and vocals was impressive. I saw him perform a live rendition of Andre 3000’s track “Prototype” that left the crowd speechless and received a thunderous applause. It was a fitting comparison
It was a fitting comparison to one of the most renowned ATLiens. His style is an adventure in genre and style. He easily blends R&B with a touch of Pop and the quick cadence of Hip-Hop. Creating a unique sound and vibe that is fresh while also fitting into it’s own niche in today’s music market.
He has performed with the We Were Here for a number of years and has found a home at the Atlanta lounge Noni’s, where they are the house band every Wednesday night.
Now he is embarking out as a solo act and has dropped his lead single “Jungle” today ahead of the release of his full project entitled, Journey To The Fuse.
The release date has not yet been announced but it is coming soon.
We were lucky enough to get our hands on the track a little bit early and hear what he’s been in the lab working on.
“Jungle” is a catchy track with an infectious melody and experimental production that brings the track’s concept to auditory life. Josias sings about being in the jungle and feeling doubtful about his abilities because of the shadows of preventing him from seeing his own light. It will be interesting to see what the rest of the project sounds like because he’s off to a strong start.
